Why did you pick this product vs others?:I chose this item for an eight year old birthday gift! He likes Minecraft and I thought this would nice for him to use daily. Alarm clock:The color is a nice green. The plastic is okay. It could have been a little better quality. Look:It looks nice because it does look like Minecraft. Functionality:It’s a practical gift. I don’t know how easy it will be to use? I’m giving the gift to the grandparents to give to the birthday boy. I don’t know yet how the sound quality will be? I did not hear from the recipient yet. Readability:Numbers are big enough to see.

Not so great. Not worth the price. You need batteries or a plug but if you don’t have the plug then it wont work. The light does not stay on long. Only stays for a few seconds then shuts off. Waste.

Good Clock!
This is a good clock. I’m not sure why I expected it to be bigger but I did. It’s still a good size for a kids nightstand or maybe a decor item for a gaming room. I like the nightlight feature as well.

As a clock and nightlight, perfect. As an alarm, sucks.
The tap-to-light creeper is awesome. Yea it’s more bobble-head like than actual true-to-life creeper (looks like advertised), but that aids in some useful sturdiness. The light stays on for about a minute, then turns off. The clock also lights up during this, and dims. The LCD display seems to continue to have a dim light behind it. Battery life so far has been awesome. Working through kids constantly lighting it up, and as a daily alarm. 2 months of use now, batteries are still good. Now, I devices not to use regular AA batteries, but got Li-Ion rechargeable AA batteries for it listed as “3400 Mah” (we shall see). Our 2 year old got ahold of it and had a nice day of turning on the Creeper light, still working, no issues.Now to the crappy alarm. Does it have official Minecraft sounds? It sure does!Is it an exploding Creeper? No.Is it the Minecraft theme? Not exactly.Somewhat.You get 5 notes, just one bar of MIDI music, loudly repeating. It’s like listening to the first 3 seconds of a Taylor Swift song, and about as annoying. I know you as well, my favorite reader, would feel the same way if you suffered this. On the flip side, that makes it a very effective alarm clock. Especially if you enjoy waking up angry/disappointed/annoyed all at the same time. And you will wake up.There. You heard my con. The rest are all pros. Kids like it, perfect short nightlight, would recommend.

The glow only lasts about a minute or so, and is not sufficient to provide light to the entire room. Its display however remains visible, to show the time, despite the glow switching off. My son loves his new clock and tested the alarm, which works.

Very small & very light weight. Feels cheaply made, not sure how long it’ll last. It does look cute though & my son thinks it’s really cool. I somehow missed it was battery operated, I would for sure prefer plug in but it’s whatever.
