    Avoiding the dark side

    The light is powered off USB. It’s not a very powerful light. The force is not very strong with this one. More of an ambient light, not a task light. But more than a night light, unless you like your night light on the brighter side. Which is good for avoiding the dark side.There is a little light leakage between the upper and lower body. The screw heads are a little too visible. The R2 isn’t domed, just flat with a blue sticker. As cool as it is, lacks the drool worthiness I was hoping for. Was really wanting a good desk light. I think this will end up as a bed side light in the guest room. Defiantly keeping it. But it is going to be a B-roll keep and not a lead shot keep.The wings do open and close. So they can be either X-wing or flat wing.Lower your expectations a little bit. Then you can be happy with it. Look at the pictures.

    Great Star Wars product

    I got this lamp for my desk and I love it! It is a very simple lamp that just lights up underneath the X-wing, but it does its job. It is a fun addition to my Star Wars collection. It would make a great gift to anyone who loves or even just likes Star Wars!

    Light location on the X-Wing could have been better designed

    Unlike the Millenium Falcon lamp, the light location on the X-Wing lamp is located on the bottom of the X-Wing such that posing it to both make use of the light and to be able to admire the Starship is not ideal for my personal use. But, it is still super cool and I love having it to complement my Millennium Falcon Lamp. I position it more like a spotlight on one of my Grandmother’s paintings, as seen in 1 of the 3 pictures I’ve included.

    Great for any Star Wars fan

    This is really more of a fun collectible than an actual functional desk lamp. It does work as a lamp, but it’s not very bright, and the light isn’t very focused – there is a lot of leakage through the body of the X wing. However, it looks great on a desk or a shelf, and makes a fun conversation piece. I do wish it was of better quality overall, but it still looks great, and it’s unusual enough that I still really like it. A Star Wars fan is going to be more concerned about the overall look of the light rather than using it as an actual light, so for a fan, it’s a fun gift.

    A great star wars desk lamp – but very poorly made.

    My boyfriend is a huge Star Wars fan, and I couldn’t wait to give him this lamp.Having an X-wing fighter desk lamp on his desk looks great, however, it falls short on several levels.Light leaks through the whole assembly and as a desk light it’s just not bright enough to work as a main desk light when doing any serious work.My boyfriend moved it to a side table and when the light is off – it looks FABULOUS!At night, we only turn it on occasionally, especially when we are watching a Star Wars episode for the 20th time. LOL!I personally think it is way too expensive for the quality of this desk lamp – but my boyfriend loves it, so that’s all that matters.A great gift for any Star Wars fan.
